REPORTS:
DRAFT CONSERVATION PLAN FOR LANDS AT COMOX LAKE AND PERSEVERANCE CREEK
 
 
B. Wells/E. Grieve: THAT the report dated February 14, 2024 regarding the draft conservation plan for the lands at Comox Lake and Perseverance Creek (formerly known as the Coal Beach property) be received. [Item

Catherine Berris, Urban Systems Ltd., presented information regarding the draft conservation plan for the lands at Comox Lake and Perseverance Creek (formerly known as the Coal Beach property).
 
 
E. Grieve/B. Wells: THAT the draft Conservation Plan for Lands at Comox Lake and Perseverance Creek, as attached to the staff report dated February 14, 2024, be received;

AND THAT staff be directed to work with the Village of Cumberland and the Cumberland Community Forest Society to bring the draft Conservation Plan forward for further collaborative dialogue with K'ómoks First Nation;

AND FINALLY THAT staff report back to the Water Committee on recommended next steps upon receiving guidance from K’ómoks First Nation.
